These past few days have been busy working on our group cosplay for the Gauntlet. I have even more respect for my cosplaying friends after only a few days of searching for items to modify into other things.

The Gauntlet happens this weekend and while I am super-duper excited to play games with my awesome teammates,  I confess I am discouraged that I was unable to meet my fundraising goal this year.

Last year we raised $3,170 but because of real life and unforeseen roster changes, we've not been able to raise as much. 

There is absolutely NO assignation of blame to my teammates (present and past), just a sense of dejection wondering if I could have done more, you know?

I know that what we have raised benefits YouthCare, and that we are doing something for young adults in need. I also know we are fortunate to be able to have fun while giving back. I have perspective about it all. ALL the teams have raised over $56,000 which equates to 937 nights of safety and stability for a young person at YouthCare's YA shelter. I just need to silence the overachiever in me... 

The autographed Neil Gaiman reward is still available, so is the super rare Doubleclicks Dimetrodon handmade by Tally Heilke. If anyone wants to donate for either one, I'll reduce the donation amount to $75. for either item.
