How The Bungie Foundation buoys the Bungie Gauntlet Team every year...

Last week, I had the pleasure of sharing lunch with Christine Edwards, the Manager of The Bungie Foundation, to learn more about how the Bungie Foundation chooses to give back to their local and global community. And boy, do they! When they decide to embrace a cause, their committment is strong and passionate! From their work with Make-a-Wish Foundation- giving studio tours to young fans with life-threatening medical conditions, to the Ronald McDonald House "Men in Kilts" campaign, to their inspiring and fantastic IPads for Kids program, housed at Seattle Children's Hospital, their passion for giving back is infectious, and we are super lucky to have had a Bungie team on board for our Gauntlet event for all three years!

Why do we value the Bungie Team in the Gauntlet? As stated above, they are a powerhouse team that truly knows how to garner the support of their fans, and direct them to causes that are meaningful to the Bungie company, as well as the gaming community at large. Last year, the Bungie Gauntlet team raised 53K of our 92K raised for Hopelink at our Gauntlet: Moxtropolis event! It was a phenomenal experience to see the Bungie fans embrace our event, and show support of a local social service agency that provides hope, guidance, and dignity to folks who are moving towards self-sufficiency.
This year, we have chosen YouthCare as our beneficiary, as their work with our city's homeless youth, for over 40 years now, has been the lifeline for so many youth who have found themselves without a safe place to sleep, eat, and have emotional support. Here's a short story and example of the life-changing services YouthCare provides the youth they serve: Homeless and Enrolled in College
With Christine acting as organizational and strategic support, and Team Captain Jennifer Ash at the helm, Team Bungie has already raised 15K for our event… and we still have 18 days to go! And as our teams all know, that puts them squarely in the lead for Power Ups earned for our tournament on Sunday, May 15th. Maybe this year will be the year that Team Bungie clenches that gorgeous, coveted, Gauntlet trophy! Thank you, Team Bungie, for your continued support of our event and our beneficiary, YouthCare!
